Innovation Center for US Dairy Mid-Atlantic Project
Corn silage and alfalfa average the highest percentage of dairy feed rations in the U.S. With the addition of these crops in the Fieldprint Platform, this project allows dairy cooperatives and their farmers to trial the tool, assess value, provide feedback, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy will use aggregate findings from implementing dairy cooperatives to inform national strategies for dairy feed sustainability. This project further connects to the NRCS Resource Stewardship Evaluation Tool (RSET), and will identify opportunities for Fieldprint data to provide RSET inputs that can advance farmer access to NRCS conservation support.

Objectives
Support 100% of participating farmers in understanding the feed sustainability impacts of their current management decisions through use of the Fieldprint Platform by end of year 2019.
Identify opportunities to link Fieldprint inputs to the NRCS RSET tool and compile findings, in collaboration with the Innovation Center for U.S. dairy, by end Q2 2020.
Collect farmer feedback on perceived value of the tool and share findings with Field to Market (aggregated across cooperative projects by the Innovation Center), by Q2 2020.
