CTIC Big Pine Creek Watershed Fieldprint Project

Using the Fieldprint Calculator as an engagement and educational tool, this project will help growers understand their environmental impact and gauge their operational efficiency in selected fields. Once information is entered into the FIeldprint Calculator, a consultation with the local conservationist will incorporate the results of the Calculator as one piece of information to help create a farm-specific conservation plan that will help facilitate grower enrollment in conservation programs that will provide technical and financial assistance. CTIC will analyze and present Fieldprint Calculator outputs through confidential, individual farmer scores in tandem with the aggregated average of the watershed in order to inform growers of the watershed’s average and how they compare to their neighbors and to state and national averages within each metric.
